quantize_notename

pitchtools.quantize_notename(notename, divisions_per_semitone)[source]

Quantize notename to the next semitone divisions

Parameters:

notename (str) – the notename to quantize
divisions_per_semitone – the number of divisions of the semitone (1 to quantize to nearest chromatic note)

Return type:

str

Returns:

the notename of the quantized pitch
